In development v0.1.0-dev · Phase 1 of 4
A browser designed around you.
Technical precision without the attention economy. ITISYOU is a Chromium-derived browser being built in the open around one rule: you own your data, and every capability boundary is explicit. AI is off by default — and structurally incapable of silent access.
No downloads yet — the Phase 1 foundation is complete, Phases 2–4 are ahead, and installers arrive with Phase 4. Everything on this site reflects the real, current state of the project.
Modular tools on a high-performance foundation
What Phase 1 is building right now — labeled by real status, not marketing tense.
Contexts with hard edges
A classic, fast tab model plus a workspace foundation that keeps research, development, and personal browsing in separate named contexts. Session recovery and local history are part of the same Phase 1 scope.
Off. Actually off.
The AI runtime exists only as disabled interfaces: no provider configured, no API keys, zero provider calls. Any future AI is opt-in per action.
Privacy as architecture, not a settings page
History, workspace data, sessions, and permissions live in separate local datasets with separate boundaries. Permission policy is deny-by-default. There is no telemetry endpoint in the codebase — a claim we re-verify at every milestone rather than assert once.
Chromium-derived, sandbox intact
Chromium 144.0.7559.261 via the CEF binary distribution. Upstream process model, sandbox, and Site Isolation preserved — decided and documented in ADR-001.
Built in the open, tracked honestly
This site renders directly from the project's real progress data. No invented percentages, no fabricated changelogs.
